Hey Russ, looking good!

Do both of your shafts turn in the same direction? I noticed both your props are of the same orientation.

good eye timmy,it would not be good if they did ,but it is a static model and there was only one rotation of props to be had .so thats the way it is.

hello to everyone who watched my build of hmcs fraser, and all who helped with advice and research.she is now finished, and waiting for display case to be built.the only parts I did not make myself where the railings, seaking and props.i wish railings where made out of a little heavier grade of brass,to dam flimsy.i will post some finished pics in a couple of posts as to not overload each post.

Hello Russ,

Very fine looking ship. (and finished which is far more than I can say for mine....)

It has been great fun watching you build her and I will be following your next project too.

Russ,

If you can, I would like to follow the coastal steamer build. (I have been looking at plans for 1910-1940 type ships for my flower class corvettes to escort around)

My DDE is going slow. I have remade almost everything from the deck up and redone all the moulds for the detail parts. I am my own worst enemy when it comes to building things. However, the other half wants to get the basement cleaned up so this next summer will be finish the boat or it will be scrapped time.

I will start posting again after Christmas of what I have done. The reworked stuff is better just takes so long to do.

Your build kept me motivated to keep working to improve what I had done. It was good to follow a project when you are working on the same one.

I think you will find this very interesting james, after the war union steamships where looking to modernize there fleet they bought 3 corvettes and made them into small coastal freight, passenger ships.they even did cruises to Alaska.the boats did not work out as well as planned as they where single screw where as cardena and catela were twins, easyer to get into tight spots.if I post my build I will give a little history on the company.it ran from 1889 to 1959.

Great to see her finished, Russ! Just beautiful.

The Camosun photos remind me of a CASF request from some time back: viewtopic.php?f=51&t=51219&p=493751&#p493751
