Hi Aop,
Haha! Thank you so much to you and your friends! :thanks: :wave_1:
So, just out of interest, do you have the same kind of Popsicle sticks in your ice-creams in Thailand?
Good luck to you and Aur for your performances! Hope all goes well.
Cheers,
Phil

Hi Callum,
Thanks for the comment, much appreciated. I've been recovering from an injury but I might be able to get back into it again soon. In fact, I think it would be good physio, haha! Or at least therapeutic! :heh: :heh:
Cheers,

Hi All,

Happy New Year to everyone!

I've spray painted an undercoat on the ship. It helps to highlight all the flaws, bumps, cracks and other marks which I will try to fill or mask later.

Currently I'm working on the forward mast and the ASMD mast.

Hi All,

The top part of the mast didn't look right, the plans seem to have the post narrower than actual photos, so I widened the post.

I've given them a first undercoat and sat them on the ship to see what they look like. I have some more sanding and undercoating to do yet though and there is more detail to add to each mast.

HMAS Anzac’s Funnels
It’s been years but I’ve finally made some progress on my 1/136 model of the HMAS Anzac. I’m working on the twin funnels. After years of back surgeries and living with chronic pain and a life threatening illness scare, I’m back to working on my ship. And the best part about that is, it’s counted as physical therapy! :heh: LOL

Next is a rework of the two main masts

Just as a hint, the auto body filler works really well to fair hulls. I have used it successfully for many models and it makes a good base for primers, then finish paint. Fairly easy to mix in the hardener, small batches work best as the working time is not long.

Enjoy!

Hi Fliger747,
Thanks for the advice, I really appreciate all the help I can get. I’ve been using a spak filler which is fairly soft, only because the wood I use is also relatively soft and easy to sand. I’d be worried that body filler might be too hard in comparison, or is it softer as well?
Cheers,
Phil
