How is it that a 1/96 model gets finished before the 1/700 kit version? :lol_1:

Hi Timmy, thats what at least 12 hours a day of work on a model gets ya and not just one model, I make them to commission, so I have got to move them, in the mean time I also manufacture some hulls and some fittings, its a buisy old life right now.

Are you all ready for another update. I have now reached the masts and more fittings have been added and a bit of tidying up in general.
Still quite a bit to do yet, but it's now starting to look better.

Hi guys and thanks for the comments, yes it is a Deans kit, but, has been extensively modified from what you get in the box from Deans. The decks have been sealed with clear varnish and will be weathered with washes when the final painting stage is reached. Some of the fittings are new masters moulded by me in resin, I must say that as a kit, its one of those you can not build like this from what is upplied in the box, you need to do alot of research and scratching to get it to look like this.
My new fittings I have scratched as masters for this ship have been moulded to cast in resin for anyone else contemplating this build.
AND, that is not an advert.
Paul...

After a relaxing day at Ellesmere, I have got back to the work on fitting out the Dreadnought.

More work has been done to the superstructure and masts and I have repaired the damage to P and Q turrets, that came with the kit and base painted them.

Image

I have also done a bit of painting on the bridge.

Here you can see the Saitek props. These were originally for the Hood at 1/128 scale, but will do for this wee beasty.
In the background, I have done some work on the Winston S Churchil, which will be my next full ship to complete.

Enjoy :thumbs_up_1: Paul

A little more painting here and there and some work done on the signal platform and range finder tower.

I have also scratch built the engine room vent stacks and their cover's, just below the main mast.
