Hello All,
I am new to the forum, and would like to introduce my project: I am building a 1/32 Scale USS Missouri (BB-63). This model will be fully operational in regards to functions of Coarse, Speed, Functional Radar, Gun Directors, with .50 cal main guns firing flash-bang ammunition. All functions will be under remote command and fully monitored from a shore CIC video command consoles. She will be almost 28 ft in length with a beam of over 40". All design is being generated using SolidWorks CAD and Simulation. Main hull and Superstructure material will be Stainless Steel.
More details to follow. . .
I look forward to sharing my progress with all of you.

This will be the most impressive model I have seen .Question do you find working with stainless steel a real challenge?
How do you intend to transport 28ft of model? I remember many years ago a Brit Duncan Cameron building and sailing a 29ft model of the carrier HMS Invincible. To get the model into the water he employed either a crane or sling or just sailed it to the venue. Recently at an event involving big models at Ellesmere Port in the UK there where 4 tankers and 2 bulk carriers the largest being 20ft. and an 18ft long model of HMS Daring all having to negotiate a dock system to the same scale. But 28ft is staggeringly big!!! I shall be taking a close interest in this project.
