Hi all. I would like to present here my construction. I started at November 2013 and construction goes very slowly. As you can saw, I still search books, photos or other notes what can help me make the model better. So, I'm making parts, what are well-known and I can use notes from other german ships.

I started with some deck equipment like AAs, reflectors etc. Nowadays I finished funnel and started to make rear extension.

As you can see it is paper model. It is classic construction without a lot of painting because I build it to Naviga competitons so I must respect rules of C-7 category. Only things what I use are etchings. Advantage is that making etchings is my job so I can draw own etchings. You can see our products here

Let's move to the construction.

These are the canisters hosting the barrels for sub-caliber firing (inserting smaller barrels into the large ones in order to reduce wear and tear on the latter).

Anyway, your progress looks fantastic. :thumbs_up_1:
Good luck for the competition, should be piece of cake for you!

Happy modelling ~ Olaf!

That is some amazingly incredible work! From paper.... Nice that you keep track of the amount of parts, I should have done that as well. Too late now I guess.

Keep it coming, incredible what you can do with paper!!! :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1:

Thank you Neptune :)

I have a little question for you guys. It is about window borders. I saw that modelers make it in copper colour. I tried to look after some pictures and at some photos I saw that it is quite possible. Or it is brass maybe

Most likely brass. It is much harder than copper (a soft metal). Brass is used a lot in ships.

Really good work and terrific subject! How do you like Halinski compared to GPM or JSC?

Thank you guys :)

Halinski is the best paper model publishing. It has really good models. Nowadays there is second publishing what has great models - Dom Bumagi from Ukraine. There is a lot of details - I think, Bumagi is a successor in top-class models because Halinski finishing its model publishing - what I know. GPM is average publishing - but there is a lot of good models. Admiral Hipper, Chikuma, Hiei or new IJN carrier Taiho. But if you want to make model for Naviga competitions - for example - you must remake more parts than in Halinski or Dom Bumagi models.

If you look at my Scharnhorst, there are a lot of remakes too. But...if you'll make model without remakes, you'll get high-detailed model. But i want something more than this high-detailed model

And JSC is unknow publishing for me so I can't compare it.
