Here goes for nothing. My HMS Valiant is at standstill for lack of information so I have to do something else.

I started by scaling down my HMV 1/250 scale cardmodel...then glued them on a sheet plastic using photoglue. After that it is just cutting and glueing.

You can leave off about 1/4 of the parts because plastic is more durable than card.

Looking good, mifune! :thumbs_up_1:

I always wanted to see how scaling down a card model & using plastic would work out. I'll be following this one with interest!

Hello!

The model will be in 1/350 scale and ready just before some big manufacturer announces theirs...

Me and my family had a holiday in Spain so nothing new. The weather was cool enough to keep us happy. Mexico was too hot...(It was cheap, fantastic and safe when me and my to wife-to-be went there)

To the model. I´m going to build the hull casemate "walls" as solids from sheet plastic layered to proper thickness(is that english?).
One can bend plastic strips about million times to do this, but as to me this is some kind of a test build I´m going the fast way.

It has been a pleasure to see that this has been a interesting subject.

Sorry. Not much "howto" here. No Time! I think I should start posting to the work in progress.

Hull is almost complete.

It has been a long time since my last update. I`m a very slow modeller.
But there has been some progress.

I was throwing this build away, when Combrig launched theirs. But, mine has a deck with ending blanks and she will be as 1916. There are differences in forward funnel and bridge area. :cool_1:
