Hi Capitoa Norbert The funnel casing assembly is a difficult and testing piece of construction . As a matter of interest have you the book "Schlachtschiff Bismarck" by Ulrich Elfrath and Bodo Herzog ?

Hi Dave, yes i have the book.
now i think i am in the right way.
i am following the drawing who show this inclined parts.
but this funnel is really intricate but not invencible. LOL

exellent work,the styrene you are useing looks fairly thick,what do you cut it with,i find cutting thicker pieces with curves to be very diffecult.it seems a lot of force is needed to cut but then it is hard to keep it from moving around. a have a circle cutter but it is good only for balsa wood or thin sheets of styrene,unless i am useing it wrong.

well i use simply olfa cutter kniffes sometimes i use the light cutter or hard cutter(big size blade snapp off blade cutter)
i use teh 300 yellow and an older stainless steel olfa cutter. but you can use any cutter.
don't need cut all styrene - just make some 2 cutts and with hand you can broke this. is more easy and faster.
about curves i explain how i do in the page 9.
but don't use so much larger plate to make a circular belt.
i use 0.5, 0.8 or 1mm, not more than this.
in the funnel revesting i am using 0.8mm
well i have the circular cutter and i cut 2mm styrene using this cutter, explore more the cutter...

i am posting the works on funnel's hood...
and installation of exaust or admission or air tubes on funnel.
each plate was drilled by x-acto and file and each plate have 47 holes(my hands what say) LOL..
but still incomplete this work... more progresses i post...

yes i having patience and discipline but this consuming more time to do.
in my case the time is short always the weekends and some weekends i need give attention to wife and childrens.
well the tube brass i purchase here. here have a shop called CENTRAL DE METAIS E FERRAGENS(central metal and ferrous) who sell all about metal.
