Those are shaft generators, they are only used on variable pitch propellor ships. Because there the speed of the shaft is continuous, no matter which load/speed. Sometimes there are two shaft generators, set for two fixed shaft speeds. These generators do reduce your propulsion efficiency since they take away power/energy from your shaft. In addition, there are diesel generators to switch on in port.
On fixed pitch propellor ships this isn't used.

The cambered part can be done, I did the same on the Chaconia main deck. Just put a "bottom" plate and fill it with putty on top. Afterwards carefully sand the angles in the two required directions. If it's not entirely flat people will not even notice due to the complex shape.

Hi Norberto now that's what I call a "detailed" turret build . Your picture of the lovely beach is making me feel very sad. They say long northern winters bring on the sadness , All I can do is work on my model :heh: :cool_1:

Capitão Norbert,

Very nice - precise and methodical! :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1:

I look forward to watching your progress on the turrets!

I'd post some of my beach photos for you also, except it would be hard to see the beach because of the rain! :heh:

attach the image here.
well i can try again to try solve it...
in the site i post(ph engine) i don't have problem to post images.
so i don't know what happend
Regards and thank you again

The MAC "platform" will work just fine,
I am using it.
But why don't you get the images down to a file size that is usable for the internet first?
You cannot just take a 3MB image and post it. The image has to be like 40K and 500 pixels wide,
NOT 3,000 pixels wide at 3MB.

See that is the reason so many people have problems posting images.
The images must be prepared for the web first by being made a smaller file size.
Then you will not have problems.

If you have Photoshop just click on:" File >SAVE for the WEB.
Photoshop version 5.5 or newer.
