Nothing like 15 "six-inch machine guns" firing at their max rate of fire :cool_2:

Well Guys, It looks as though the class room is filling up, the fee,s this year have trebled, 3 x 0 =0, :heh: , but we have a slight delay, that TommyL has been slacking, he has not cleared the other side of the slipway, is tommy sleeping at the back of the class.

I am trying to introduce some fun into the build, thats what modelling is about, fun, fun, and more fun, :woo_hoo: :woo_hoo:

Sorry. I didn't know that class was to begin. Was I supposed to have a homework assignment done for class? Its been so long since I've been an active member of this forum.

Glad to see you back. I get to see a 1/72 SMS Nassau / Westfalen and 1/96 Helena build now.

TommyL.

As the old saying goes 'In like a lion out like a lamb' March never fails to deliver, so hopefully after the cold snap over the next week it will begin to settle down and classes can begin. :thumbs_up_1:

You'll have to watch out for pirates though :heh:

Post subject:  Re: USS HELENA CL50 July 1st 1942

Hi Everyone, Today we are going to mark out for the keel and frames, I have copied the bow and stern sections, these will give us a starting point for the first frame.

I will only be using just over half of the frame numbers, marked B2-1/2, B3-2.B4-4, B5-6, B6-8 up to B14-24.

From the stern we have frame numbers, stern a/p, S2-39, S3-37, S4-35, up to S9-25.

I put the bow secton down and draw a long line on our flat base board to the length of the model, then place in the stern, this will give us our first and last frame number.

Then I mark out all the frames along the keel with the frame numbers. :heh: :heh:

Hi, It will be plank on frame, or sheet ply on frame, plenty of room for the motors. :heh: :heh:

The beam will be about, 7 1/2 inches, hull length 76 inches. :woo_hoo: :woo_hoo:
