What are you worried about I have 8 Kashtans on the Admiral Kuznetsov. One of the reasons it's a slow build.

Dave, since you are building (in fiberglass) this ship in scale 1/72, will you also tell people where they can get a hull and join in the build? If affordable I would consider joining your build.

Hi Nick good to hear from you. Not much has been mentioned as there have been some problems to resolve but here is the current update. The plan has been modified to that of the Soobraziltelnyy. This and the third ship in the class, Boikiy are VLS and have a different deck housing forward of the bridge and there are some modifications surrounding the turret which are not on Steregushchiy. It would appear that the Steregushchiy was more a one off or prototype. Any way a hull, which remains the same has been produced in GRP and a start on this project will not be that far off. Thanks for asking and watch this space .

Oh boy... :woo_hoo: :woo_hoo:

So where will you be placing the Kashtan? Atop the hangar? Or no Kashtan for this beauty? Have you been able to find any plans or sketches?

Hi Richard I met up with the Admiral over the weekend at the Model Boat Convention. Yes he's looking good and pleased , especially after he and his wife attended the unvailing of his magnificent Iron Duke.It was really good to see him even if it was only for a brief period as these events tend to just swollow up the time so quickly . I certainly know the Admiral will be pleased that you have asked after him. :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1: :wave_1:

she is a lovely looking ship Dave, great subject. I am a bit disappointed that I won't get a "how to build" lesson for the Kashtan though, will have to figure it out for my self :thumbs_up_1:

Hello Dave, :wave_1:

I see that you are building a Russian vessel. Great my friend, I love russian ships; as they have a character of their own, with very beaurtiful ship lines and structures.

You are in for a big headache, as Russian ships are complicated and require heavy detailing to get the final finish you need.

You seem to be doing a goos job of it, and shall be following closely your build log.

Cheers.

Paul.
