1:110 HMS Anson - progress to date
Plans from the NMM. I carved the hull from lime, a real pleasure to use, but mighty expensive to buy. Yes, you can see 2 hulls in the first photo, whilst I carved mine I carved another, of a different ship, for a friend.

Welcome Grandad . Jim told me that you had started to post , traditional scratchbuilding and a wonderful subject
. Just returned after visiting Chatham and the reserve collection , my mind and eyes are in a spin but the reserve collection at the FAA is out of this world, so many ship models.

Please explain what you are using that's "lime". Is that what I'd call plaster of Paris?
