TRIVIA--two character actors who appeared in Rock Hudson's ICE STATION ZEBRA later appeared in Clint Eastwood's HIGH PLAINS DRIFTER.
In ICE STATION ZEBRA, the submarine USS Tigerfish is on a rescue mission to the Arctic research station station Ice Station Zebra after a deadly explosion, but in reality the submarine carries a team of spies sent to recover a Russian satellite's top secret film capsule that landed near the station. Ted Hartley played USS Tigerfish Lieutenant Jonathan Hansen and William O'Connell played an Ice Station Zebra survivor.
In HIGH PLAINS DRIFTER, a mysterious stranger arrives in the corrupt mining town of Lago, where a gang of gunslingers killed the US Marshal. Ted Hartley played hotel owner Lewis Belding and William O'Connell played the barber.
