The file is currently in the hands of the Argentine Navy. DCNS proposed four Gowind OPVs (1,500 tons), which would in part be manufactured in partnership with Piriou in Concarneau as part of Kership, their joint subsidiary. Two of the four warships would be built by the Argentinean shipyard in Tandanor, based in the port of Buenos Aires.

After some hesitation at the start of the project, France played in teams (government, industrialists, banks). Supported by Bercy (Coface), the banks supported the project and offered very interesting financing to the Argentines. This was not proposed in Qatar against the Italians, who beat the French. The Argentinian competition was very tough against the Chinese and the Navantia Naval shipyard.

La Tribune

It should be noted that Coface, until recently the credit guarantee agency for exports backed by the French govt., was instrumental in the sale of Rafales to Egypt. Les Echos
