Hi guys,

I have a question concerning the torpedo armament on British Pre-dreadnought battleships. I've read several references to ships being fitting with torpedo launching cradles, I can think of two off of the top of my head HMS Inflexible (1876) and Victoria Class turret ships. These cradles are listed in addition to the conventional (at the time) submerged and above water tubes.

What is this cradle exactly and where would it have been located? I've searched and can't find any info or pics online. I have plans for both vessels, and they don't show anything that looks like launching gear on the deck. A picture or drawing would be a huge help.

Thanks
