TRIVIA---The classic THE TWILIGHT ZONE episode "To Serve Man" is rated number 11 in TV GUIDE's "100 Greatest Episodes of All Time".
(This is an excerpt from a movie/tv news post)

Lloyd Bochner starred in the episode and also played a parody villain in THE NAKED GUN 2 1/2: THE SMELL OF FEAR as he screams the classic line, "It's a cookbook!".

Other Tirante officers included commanding officer Lt. Cmdr. George Street (who received the Medal of Honor), future Massachusetts Governor Endicott Peabody and Edward L. Beach, Jr. who wrote the novel RUN SILENT, RUN DEEP.

Footnote: While the movie certainly has its drama, it has next to nothing to do with the novel, two entirely different stories. I think I came across somewhere that Beach very much regretted selling the movie rights with no control over the content given what Hollywood did to his work.
