I've tried searching about with less than satisfactory results. is there a good source for pre 1950 marker buoys? for construction, not to navigate! or were there no standards and I can let my creativity loose? thanks

it's not super critical or prototypical. at the risk of being vague, I would say any of the "industrialized" countries in Europe or the USA. I just want to build something enjoyable, yet plausible. I have way too many pedantic projects already started!
