ar I refer you to p49 Camo Vol1

HMS Havock mid-1941 I have found a port side view of her in this wondeful Alex scheme.

The port side is most different I'm afraid, shall I send?

If you would please. There is always something more to learn.

Well thats what good apprentices are for! :wave_1:

This along with a host of other reasons, is why someday I'd like to see a definitive RN WW2 camouflage book to be published in H/B with many of those gaps filled in!

There are so many data sources untapped.

Here's the brute, its not dated but I'd say 1941.
It's off that Barham veterans site Dino is posting from.
Pity not clearer could answer your A and A issues then also.
I id that DD as Havock H43:-

Thank you for posting the picture.
"Most different" you write.
Look closely, except for right at the bow, the pattern appears to be identical. The caption that I wrote in the camouflage book was based upon a whole span of photos taken in 1941. At least I wrote "probably identical".
The photo that you posted was taken at Crete.

Does she have her rear torpedo tubes removed?
I can't make out the bridge wings clearly either.

Perhaps it could be possible to get a copy of the original photo, but I'm not sure that it will show more details.

It would be nice to see the exact place of degaussing cables on Barham ...

Mr AR could you please take a look to this post ?

http://www.shipmodels.info/mwphpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=23169

I would be very interested in your opinion about the two photos of Barham deck.

Thank you.

Dino

I did see it Dino and it looked more Semtex than accumulated paint layers to me.

On the De Gaulle photo especially it just looks too uniform for paint to me.

As I'm not a camouflage or deck coverings boffin I wasn't brave enough to post this opinion!
