TRIVIA---in the Academy Award-nominated HEAVEN CAN WAIT, British school teacher Betty Logan (Julie Christie) travels to Los Angeles to demand that tycoon Leo Farnsworth (Warren Beatty) not build an environmentally-dangerous oil refinery in her hometown of Paglesham. She is not aware that Farnsworth was just murdered and his body is now inhabited by recently-dead Los Angeles Rams quarterback Joe Pendleton.
Paglesham is a real town of about 250 people, and historians think remains of HMS Beagle, the Royal Navy warship that carried naturalist Charles Darwin on his historic global journey, are in the town's riverbank. Darwin documented the voyage in his book THE VOYAGE OF THE BEAGLE in which he stated his theories about evolution and natural selection.
