I believe these were made by Yankee Modelworks and Blue Water Navy. Thanks.

There have been three 1/350 Porter class DDs. BWN 350102 1938 Porter and YMW35103 Balch DD362 are discontinued, but ISW4076 1943 Moffett DD362 is available.

FYI- I can tell you that the Yankee Modelworks kits are OOP and OOS. The molds for the metal parts went bad and at some point all the molds and masters were tossed in the dumpster. If you can find any, that may be your only chance to get them.

Thanks, gents. Looking for the Porter-class 350 kit closest to how they were commissioned in 1936-37, which seems to be only the Porter kit.

I built the BN350102 1938 Porter many years ago and have the Blue Water Navy instructions and other notes that I used at the time. You might might find something useful if you want to backdate Jon Warneke's ISW 4-076 1943 Moffett DD356. I live in Huntington Beach - let me know if I can help. R/David

David, thanks for your message and suggestion. My good friend who's 81 and lives in Fresno would be the modeler building the kit, and I'd rather not put him out by having to do much conversion work to make 1943 Moffett into 1937 Winslow (DD359) which is my goal. A bit of trivia, Winslow was the last of the Treaty destroyers commissioned in the 1930s to be decommissioned (1950) and the last to go to the breakers (1959). So, the search and wait goes on. But in the meantime, I'd be very grateful for your generous offer to share your plans and notes on your build and would also be glad to see a picture or two of your build. The PM function is down when I tried to drop you a line, but I'll try later.
