Peter Hall has managed to crank out a couple of interim designs while working on other PE chores and various master patterns:

Image
PE 3201, 1/32 scale USN Carrier Tie-Downs is a companion piece to similar sets we've already done in 1/72 and 1/48. Priced at £16.25 including VAT, it will fit out 1/32 flight deck sections to display WW2 or modern USN carrier aircraft.

Image
PE 7111, 1/700 Modern USN Hose Reels, priced at £2.49 including VAT, came about when it was pointed out that we lacked this set in "Divine Scale", and will fit out your modern USN carriers, LPHs/LHDs, cruisers and destroyers.

Both sets are available for pre-order, and both should be shipping in 3 - 4 weeks.

hey John,

Any chance of seeing that hose reel set enlarged to 1/350? (unless you have one that I missed of course)? the reels that come with your Nimitz set are awesome, there are just not enough of them to do some of the modernizations and conversions.

Also, any word from Mad Pete on releasing a set of modern small arms for use on USN ships (.50 cal's and maybe even some M-240's or M-60's)???

Try PE 35105 in 1/350. No reply yet on the small weapons--I'll try again.

Do you have an idea when IJN02 Kure Naval Arsenal will be available?

Hi Joe,

I probably receive half a dozen or more e-mails every day, asking when this colour or that colour is going to restock. Unfortunately, since our paint manufacturer works to their own priorities rather than ours, we never know what's coming until the shipments arrive. Please be patient (it drive us nuts too), and watch the News section on our website as I announce all paint restocks here as soon as they are labelled and ready to ship. Complicating things is the fact that our paint man just retired, and we’re in transition with the manufacturer taking over the quality control & tinning operations. Ultimately that should speed up deliveries. Dave just spoke with the manufacturer earlier today, and they report they now have their tinning machine installed and should have their first batch out to us in a week or two.......teething problems permitting. There will be a price increase, but we won't be able to calculate it until we see how many tins per batch of colour we're getting from them as compared to previously.
