The tops of each piece on either side of the wheel should be flat, and not have a extra step with a dome atop them, at least not in any of the reference photos I have. Unsure about the shaft for the center wheel as I don't think I have any clear shots of that. I'm sure others can help on that

Very nice!
Just received the Sevastapol upgrade and it's wonderful.
Any chance we could get a wood deck for the 1/72 Sunseeker Predator 108"scale yacht?

These two kinds of wheels on the bow deck have a slight dome and other 4 wheels(two kinds) on the stern are flat as you mentioned.
So these wheels shown on this photo are originally located on the Bow deck but I just apllied these on the stern to campare with Plastic parts.

So toally 4 kinds of 6 wheels will be included at the final set.

Sorry late in delaying in Process. For last 3weeks, very important projects have bothered us and finalized now.So we begin again this Bismarck project process.

Today I've scribed 150mm Barrels and Axles.
As you see it is very hard to drill holes at the plastic part rightly.

And almost PE designs are being finalized by Mr .Park.
I think 90% of all can be shown at next week.

Thank you
Kim

It's difficult to see from the above images, but the 150mm guns should be able to elevate 40 degrees. The point of rotation of the guns is 830mm forward of the turret center. Are they too far back in the kit?

Well I've not checked the point of center yet.
If Trumpeter was wrong, I may add some addtional PE parts for correction of location.
Fortunately I've not started 150mm barrel mass producing.

Thank you
Kim

Once again, I do not know if the model is actually incorrect but you could check. I attached a drawing showing the measurement I gave above. The 830mm is from the turret barbette center.

lol....I gotta say that I am astounded that a business can be successful by breaking every deadline that it sets for itself. Is there any accountability there? Please stop making promises you dont intend on keeping, these "updates" have done more to hurt your business than help. I am sure many will wait until kingdom come for your set, but I for one will not. I will suggest that in the future stop trying to lure people by false timelines. By the looks of it you are still months away from releasing this set.

lol

At least this company is talking with their customers about their product, keeping them somewhat updated, and even fixing errors found by the customers. Meanwhile, Dragon still has their 1/350 Pennsylvania listed on their site with a release date of April/2012
http://www.dragon-models.com/d-m-item.asp?pid=CHC1035

They give us updates with photos, work with the customers to make sure they deliver accurate parts, and make some of the best aftermarket kits out there. Its better than a promise thats never followed. Its better than nothing.

I agree with JTninja, I suspect the reason for delays is partly that Pontos have come across something that needs fixing and they are trying to do that. The other sets will probably mostly replace parts that Trumpeter have made and they will have the same shape and size as the kit parts. Pontos do their own research and in the end their set will be the most accurate and detailed.

I can think of one company that has never released a single product on time and every one of their releases have been hugely successful. Blizzard Entertainment. Even if you are not a video gamer, you have at least heard of Warcraft, Diablo, and Starcraft. It is because they make a good product and the industry knows it. And that is an industry where timing can, will and does break companies even more than most other industries.

I am also going to say that Pontos has a great reputation for getting things right and making a great product. I would rather wait a bit and get the parts I want to build a kit I have on my shelf. I have other kits Pontos will likely not do anything for that can be worked on for the mean time.

While we all ae waiting for this set I. sure like me there are other models in your stash you could make having used pontos before I'm willing to wait because I know the quality of there sets you will not be disappointed when it arrives how many other companies ask for your opinion and add to there sets Pontos are the best sets I've ever used excellence takes time

I for one can wait ... there is no deadline for me to build. I just would be interested to see if the pictures are available. As far as expectations ... I would rather they take the time get the detail right ... to me that's more valuable than just getting it out.

Better than nothing? That's a false dilemma, there are other sets and many more on the way, by companies who are communicating as much as Pontos. I appreciate that they work with customers and give us a few shots and updates, as I said there are many who will wait any amount of time for this set. No amount of criticism can or will change their minds...fair enough. I'm only pointing out that EVERY deadline that THEY have set, they have not come through. Does anyone argue this point? I can pull up THEIR posts with their expected dates, i.e., release dates, dates on updates, etc. I know they have great quality, but so do other companies. And as for research, I am sure that all these companies do their own research, and do not copy trumpeters mistakes. I also know that it takes MUCH more than a photoetch kit and some resin to make this model "authentic", look at some of the builds in progress. Perhaps I came across a little hard, but I have been waiting on this set since this thread began....and its been a real roller coaster ride. I do hope this set is all and more than what is expected for all those who have decided to wait for it.
