Beautiful work and fantastic photography as well. This puts me in a Kriesgmarine state of mind so if you don't mind, can you tell me whether a detail up set is planned for Dragon's Scharnhorst kit?

1/350 Scharnhorst is also in our plan.
But other projects have been delayed and some other new project (as LPD-21) has cut in releasing schedule.
These make all our schedule be complex.
Anyway our caster has sent us a photo of Water Balst Bags of 380mm.

Thank you
Kim

G'day Kim

Great news about your plans for the Scharnhorst. :thumbs_up_1:

I have just bought Dragons 1/350 Scharnhorst kit. Will now wait for Pontos detail set up before I start building. In the meantime I have found an Australian hobby shop that carries Pontos stuff and have ordered your HMS Duke of York 1943 Detail Set Up. Now I just need to find a Tamiya 1/350 PoW (at a reasonable price  ). $AUS55 from the UK sounds good but $AUS72 postage is a bit much.

Yep it is wire for Boom or other rigging with hardness wire.
it is 0.2mm diameter not 0.1mm.
Thank you
Kim

Hi Kim,

I'm unsure if you've mentioned whether or not you are doing a decking for this kit, but if you are, can you please consider supplying new grating for the entire open bridge area (both forward and aft) and the forward part of the captains/mast bridge? The ones molded on the kit look just terrible and do not match the layout seen in period photos, and Trumpeter only included the crating on the forward part of the open bridge where they should be on the whole thing.

also might it be possible to include resin anchor loops/collars for the port and starboard anchor cluses as trumpeter missed those too?

Thank you
Dana

Dana,
We've decided to add these anchor resin parts in our basic set.

Hello Mr. Park,

I hope that you will not be vexed with me, it concerns the size of the footsteps especially their width. They seem to me to be not in scale, they should be more narrow. Just compare the photoes of the rear side of the 150 mm turrets on page 067 (J.Kaiser: Schlachtschiff Bismarck) with your posted photoes of the model turret. I think, that their width on the model should not be more than 1.7 mm only.

On the "bad side" of your high quality producs is that the claims are continuosly increasing thus provoking more wishes and work, but on the "good side" is that our satisfaction they will give us, is increasing too!

Best regards
Chris2

Chris,
Now Mr. Park went to home for 4days after passing his final PE design files to me.
We designed almost steps as 40cm width.. but as you mentioned, we have made 35cm steps too for some places at next modification PE design.
As you know in many cases some sizes as width or thickness, Sclae model designers draw some bigger than real one intentionally as following Staff.

We are very happy to get any feedback from our friends including you at this forum or by Email.
And we try to apply or modify as possible based on these.

Thank you
Kim

If you see more carefully you can see a hole on the end of top for this swastika wrapped with circle.
And more this staff photo is just for showing fitting. there are additional PE parts for more detail and stable joint and attachment.

Thank you
Kim

Just showing only under 10% of all with some specific areas.
The final PE are coming now and we will show applied whole PE and other contents 90% by next week.
So please wait one week more.

And there are some more unopen exciting contents when you see final set.

And this set will be released at 30th April formally.

Thank you for your patience again.

Kim

Sounds great indeed what sort of price are you looking at for the entire lot or are you offering it in individual sets like KA and Eduard have done

This set will be released as Basic detail up set first.
All contents mentioned until now and some more materials and contents will be included at this Basic set.

And some additional contents will be added and these will be released as "Advanced set"

The retail price of this Basic set has been determined.
But now we have open only to our dealers and all they are very happy to know this price.

The final Advanced set has not been determined the contents and price yet because some contents and materials have not been determined yet finally.
But I think we can determine the Advanced set matter when basic set comes out.

Of course you can buy all contents of Advanced set separately from Basic set without duplication.

Please keep your eyes on this thread.

Thank you
Kim

At last! Someone is doing the swastika and circle for the flag pole top. Thank you. The lack of that little detail has bugged me for years and everyone is too P/C to do one (yes, I know it could cut a market or two out). Totally off topic but could you please consider doing a fret of these in 1/35, 1/72 and 1/350? Especially the larger scales for the various subs and s-boats. I can't wait for this set to come out. I hope you include some nice below the waterline goodies too.
Mike
