I agree!
The more I see of this set the more I think it is a steal at that price.
Apparently it has over 600 parts including (if I understood correctly) 141 brass parts (excluding the p/e).

i fully agree. Great value. I have the ship itself on the way and if i add both prices together it costs about 110,which is extermelly resonable . And a wooden deck :woo_hoo:

We are not proud of the number of PE parts or Size.
3 sheets are enough for us as 2sheets are enough for WEM and 1sheet for GMM.

We also have not counted the total number of PE parts(though we counted the number of turned Brass just for instruction manual) because we just designed for needing PE parts.

Thank you
Kim

Our wooden deck is one of most important part in this set in harmony with PE, brass or Resin parts.
For example, as you may see there are two walking plates on the Catapult for walking or moving armaments.
These plates are just step plate put on the catapult.
But Academy realized these as hard objects raising from the deck. (nonsense)
So you should remove these plastic objects and put PE parts on our wooden deck.
This is one reason we should think Wooden deck as a serious part on this set.

But please understand the trapezium shape of these plate.
Deck should be molded as slightly convexed shape as bow deck to make reasonable this plate be trapezium.
We just realize as trapezium shape for realization.

Thank you
Kim

Mr. Kim-
It should really help, if you'd take a case of these sets to Telford. I'd like to buy 2 of those Warspite sets, but avoid pricy shipping from Korea and even more expensive customs handling and VAT charges, added to the risk of damage to the shipment.
How to go about it?

Well I may have some sets of our products for displaying but I have not decided to sell these at Telford yet.
Main reason is Royal Airways limited 20Kg in carrying and there is also custom matter.
I think it is better you may buy at the WEM booth than from us.(we've sent recently the price list of our products to WEM ). Even though you cannot buy from our booth, Please say "Guten Tag!" to me.

Thank you

I'll hope then that WEM will accept your line of products. Of cause I will stop by you booth anyway.
You should contact http://www.nntmodell.com/ and/or https://shop.modellmarine.de/ as outlets for the German market!
C/U in Telford.

It must weigh quite a lot now! :heh:
I ordered my set from HobbyDecal and I just have to wait for the kit to appear.

Where is my order?

Post by Peter Van Buren »

Please pass to the Pontos staff:

I ordered your Warsprite set on September 25 and paid with Paypal.

I have not received the item. I have written twice requesting an order status update, and created an account at 2CO.com as requested and re-posted my question there twice.

No response from anyone. Please let me know when I will get my order.

Thank you,

Peter Van Buren

Hi Peter,
All preordered items (including yours) shipped at 5th Oct.(US local time 4th Oct.).
Generally it takes 7-10days to US/Canada.
I wish to see your work with this set as soon.

And you order status can be seen at your order status page after log on.

Thank you

Thank you for this response. I look forward to seeing your good work up close.

For others:

When you order a Pontos set, it appears that you order through/pay to a payment service in Ohio, who then interacts with a company called Hobby Decal in Hong Kong to fulfill the order.

One thing some smaller companies have done to better serve their US and European markets is to connect with a well-established distributor like Freetime or WEM. This obviously adds to the cost of a product, but does make the fulfillment and ordering process easier.

Hobbydecal is our other brand mainly for aeromodellers for 10years.
And surely located at our office in Korea not HongKong.

Freetime and some other dealers will have this set in stock within next week.
And I wish WEM and other dealers also have stock ours as soon.

Thank you

I got a set last week from Pontos and finally was able to look at it today.

As I was snapping photographs I found myself mulling the line from "Tron Legacy;"
