Well, the 27001 set arrived in the mail this morning, and I can confirm that having travelled from Korea to China, then on the the UK from Lucky model it has arrived in one piece, with some very slight damage on the corner of one fret, #6 of PE, nothing that cant be sorted in more than 5 minutes!!

I have spent the last two hours going through the set and have discovered PE fret number 1 is missing, the one with all the railings on it. I also notice the set states there are 15 frets, yet with fret #1 included that would be 16 in total? EDIT:- STUPID MODELLER ALERT.. FRET#1 is in the bag with deck :woo_hoo: I spend two hours counting and identifying brass turned parts the size of a grain of rice and miss a whole PE fret!!

I also have a question regarding the GHG template. I assume it should be used with the etched "GHG" lettering facing out on the starboard and facing in on the port sides?

This is a very interesting pdf about the GHG to download:

http://www.cdvandt.org/GHG1996.pdf

Re-reading Bauer's excellent article, it is clear each GHG hydrophone requires a hole 8cm in diameter through the hull plates.

8cm/200=0,4mm

Can someone point me in the right direction, to buy 4 Arado's A-196 in the scale of 1: 200.
Trumpeter for example!
Hachette's Bismarck Arado's are not the right ones for me!

Hi all and Mr. Kim,

I placed a lot of 1/200 Bismarck photo's on Pinterest. I used Pontosmodel Basic and advanced sets including scratch building. My model is not finished yet, but I have to say, with both Pontosmodel sets it's an absolute joy to build :thumbs_up_1:.

Hi all,
I've been reading trough this topic, because I'm building the Hachette scale 1/200 version of the ship.
Can someone help to get some pictures of the Trumpeter building instructions.
Think I will need them to manage it all with the Pontsmodel Detail Up Set and the Advanced Add-on Set.

Hi,

Go to Pontos homepage. They have the instructions attached to each model in their site and they can easily be printed.

Can't find the Trumpeter instructions on the Pontos model site.
Are you sure they show Trumpeter instructions on the Pontosmodel site?
Give me the link please.

I have this 2 printed pages already:

Pontos post only instructions to their sets, not to the Trumpeter model. Try asking people from the forum who are doing/did that model - go to "Picture post" and "Completed models".

Couldn't find 1 Trumpeter Bismarck in 'Picture post'.
There should be a lot of Trumpeter Bismarck builders on this topic.

Oops, sorry about that! Read your post too hastily, Pontos only has their own instructions in their site and I thought you meant them.

Only people using the Pontos set would be posting in this topic.

You should post your request for 1/200 Trumpeter Bismarck instructions either in the Main Forum, or in the Calling All Bismarck Fans topic under Calling All Ship Fans - Battleships. You'll get a better response than in this topic.

For those of you who have purchased the advanced set, how are you handling the extensive PE for the superstructure walls. , Are you removing conduit lines , windows, doors etc or are you just attaching the individual PE parts on top of the plastic.
Thanks GB

Dear Mr. Kim,

I'm in trouble with my basic set 22001F2 for the Bismarck.
I orderded it England a few weeks ago.

After receiving it, I did a check and I found out that etch number 3 is missing.

Do you think you can solve that problem for me?
Hope to hear from you soon.
Thanks in advance.
