Hello Mr. Kim,
I wondered that did not answer the questions concerning the date of delivery of the Advanced Set for USS Missouri.
As I have heared, that a representative of PONTOS said at the 2015 Toy Show of Nürnberg, that PONTOS will not release the Advanced Set for the 1:200 Missouri, because this year there is priority for the Detail Set of HMS Nelson, later this year for the Detail Set of HMS Hood and after this will be delivered the Detail Set of USS Hornet.
Tue Sep 23, 2014 you stated:
"Veteran 20sets of Borfos will be included. Now we are digging Searchlights newly. All other parts are ready. Hope to get this Advanced Add on set very soon. Thank you
Keumho Kim"
So Mr.Kim, would you please be so kind to inform me and many modellers by telling us the trueth. When will the Advanced Set for the Missouri really be released `- or is it even just cancelled?
Thank you
Chris2

Does anyone know what these are:

1/200 Pontos PE Sheet #12 - USS MISSOURI/IOWA - Parts #751 and #752. I can't find any reference to these parts on the instruction sheets. I think they may go with the 20mm guns, but ???

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Hank

We had designed these 751 and 752 for the kit part M8 of MK51. But poor effect after applying and this make us remove these from manual so these are unused parts. but if you satisfy with these parts, I will show the simple instruction.

Mr. Kim,

Can you still do a custom 1/200 wood deck for the 1968 version of Missouri sister New Jersey.? If so how do I go about getting one?

Thanks

Randy

These sets come with extra parts for some of the smaller and more fragile pieces I hope? I know I'm probably going to wreck a few 40mm ammo racks and loose a few 20mm gun parts....

You're right - you will! Yes, it does come with some spares of the smaller PE parts. There are no spares for the resin parts, however.

If there is any part missed, broken or eaten by Carpet Monster, please email to us.
In most cases we have been supplied these extra parts to builders except Wooden deck.
Woodendeck also can be supplied with some cost.

Hello Kim

Is there anyway to have a list of numbers on extra parts included on the frets. I figured out firehoses and porthole parts. I see many doors and have not noticed if they are used. The set has so much details I hate not to use it, but hate to find out later it was extra I could have used. Thanks!

Just email Kim @ Pontos help and ask about this. It is about 99.5% correct - I had sent Kim one update (correction) a while ago to make, whether that's been done, I can't tell you. The correction was an oversight on my part when I had him first layout and produce my deck back a couple years ago. This deck would also work for a mid-1950s version of the IOWA's with very little modification.

Hope this helps,

Mr. Kim,

I have just received my 23003F1 set and started on the crane and aircraft launchers. I notice that there are two versions of the PE for the launchers, brass and stainless steel. The instructions, as far as I can tell, do not address the differences. Also when assembling the crane I noticed on the fret that there are some parts marked SP with no reference in the instructions.

Could you please let me know which configurations the brass vs. stainless steel is used and why the parts marked SP.

I have also sent this message via email.

Thanks,

Iran Ausley

SP = Spare.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for explanation for SP. Any thoughts on why the upgrade set would have both stainless steel parts for the launchers and turret tops as well as Brass. I can't find any reference on the net to anyone talking about the stainless steel parts let alone using them. I cant seem to get a response from Pontos either.
