Hi All,

Today, 15 full sheets of 1/200 Missouri Photo Etched fret have came in our office.
15 Frets? yep but I think some more design will be added during next some days until formally released.
Some days? yep we would release these detail sets within a few weeks.
Only Frets? no we would include some other materials at these sets as Pontos standard contents.

The References we have are
Absolutely all series of Iowa class master plans from Floating Drydocks as usual.
And Some books.

This set will have contents as

0. Instruction Manual
Learned from Bismarck...we would not rush to follow the fast releasing.
At this time, we would large the photos of work process
And One our Staff will check all the manual for adjusting the right numbers or missed parts and editing for easier process wholely to reduce faults.

1. Wooden deck.
We are drawing to realize over 99.9% plank lines of real 1945 Missouri deck shape.
Both 20B Deck Blue tone and Teak tone will be released.
All waterways realized

2. Turned brass parts:
All possible turned brass parts will be included...
Precise 16in/5in/40mm/20mm will be included.
16in main barrels already have rifles as 380mm of Bismarck.
50 Pedestals of Oerlikon, 32 Bitts, some Capstans, Mast/Yard sets Flag staff and so on as Pontos standards.

3. Photo Etching parts
15 Full size frets and maybe more.
We don't mind the additional area..

4. Resin.
Water Blast bags of 16in, some for MK-37, Water Protector, Etc.

5. Dry Transfer decal
Water draft marks and Hull number and name

6. Etc.
With these sets, we try to do you need not buy other material as few as possible.
So some more materials may be added.

Releasing date:
Mid of November

ADVANCED SET : Yep at this time we also prepare Advanced set for more extra parts as Bismarck.
The addtional contents will be determined by your requests and suggestion.

Keep your eyes on this Thread.

If you have any suggestion or advice, please post and leave message on this thread.

Thank you
Keumho Kim

After my experience with the Bismarck frets l will be standing well back from this set.
I object to being used to rewrite bad instructions so will await for others comments when they get into the use of these ones.

Ditto Alan,
No one has ever responded to my question regarding the release of the SUPPOSED "advanced" add-on set for the Bismarck. And here we are reading about a new product before they finish the previous? Not gonna be a beta tester again.

Brandon,
Great news about the USS Missouri kit being close to shipping. Also, I for one, am looking forward to the Pontos set. I'm hoping that all this will build into a great model of BB-63.

Hi Keumho,
Please supply drawn instructions in preference to photos!
I've got the Mk1 Arizona set with photo instructions but also ordered the WEM etch - and thank heavens - the WEM instructions are so much better.
Anyway, take your time - quality is worth it.
If you have to do photos - make sure you also have high quality photos on your website for download so I can enlarge them on my laptop.
thanks nick

Line drawings like those used with Eduard sets are so much better than photos. It may take a bit more effort than photos but they are much clearer.

Cheers

Fantastic!! I can't wait to see more! Hoping Santa places this set for me under the tree. Any info on what' is planned for 20mm? Did you make ammo mounts for 40mm gun tubs too? Very nice stern assembly.

Is there any possibility that you could produce a set to build the 1/200 USS Missouri as an Iowa class in their 1950's fits, radars, masts etc.. As much as I would like to buy the kit my interest is in building one in a mid to late 50's fit.

If Trumpeter would not release variations, we may vary other eras.
But I think it might not be realized in near future.

Looks beautiful! But .... would it not be easier for all of us to produce a nice Resin cast of the 56 required. I can see to produce one as perfect as you, maybe even 20. But after that one might dive into the dark abyss of madness ...

Well, those photos clinched the deal for me. I went ahead and placed a pre-order for this set. Should be able to build a spectacular model with this set! I'd like to see more pictures if more are available.
