Hi All,
At this week, we have finalized 1/200 USS Iowa 1944 Detail set.

Now we are waiting Instruction manuals and some package labels from Printers and some thousands of PE Frets from Etcher.
We are trying to ship from 12th August to our dealers.

The contents and prices are almost similar to our USS Missouri 1945 sets.
I will post some more details soon.

Thank you
Keumho Kim

It might be too late but I have 1 small criticism, Kim. The 20mm shields are wrong; they are not rectangular like the the Missouri's and should have a triangular piece nipped off the inside top edges (done for better gunner visibility on the real ship).

Otherwise it looks great!

Are there any updates or news about the Pontos advanced sets for the 1/200 USS Missouri? I hope they are still coming and I hope you can tell us when they will be available. I would really like to put the Veteran 40mm quads on my Missouri and understood they were to be part of the advanced set-- is that still the case? Thanks!

Veteran 20sets of Borfos will be included.
Now we are digging Searchlights newly.
All other parts are ready.
Hope to get this Advanced Add on set very soon.
Thank you

Beautiful work there. What did you use for the hull lines? How'd you source their locations?

Thanks,
Robert

Hello Kim,

Very fine work your friend has done!!!

I look forward to your advanced set for the Mighty Mo...(already have your Bismarck Advance set)

On a different not however, I have two Trumpeter Kits...one for WWII and another for her current configuration (as she sits in Pearl Harbor). Reading in previous posts you had mentioned that a post WWII set would be considered and would like to say you can count me in if such a set makes it to market.

Again, thanks for all your hard work!!

Not another era, but will you make a bridge for a WWII New Jersey? This is the one I would consider building out of the Iowa kit.

Another question for you Mr. Kim is will it be possible to purchase the advanced set without the Bofar guns? I have to admit I already bought these amazing little kits separately.

Dear Kim
Although I am still working on my 1/200 Bismarck with both of the Pontos PE sets I have the 1/200 B63 Missouri waiting to be started. So far I have been delaying the start because I have the basic detail up set and have been waiting on the Advanced set. Any predictions on when it will be released?

Just an update on the 1967-69 USS NEW JERSEY Decking for my 1:200 MO kit:

(originally posted on the wrong sub-forum) Received the decking just before Xmas - Pontos did a great job on the decks. Removed everything I asked them to remove. The color is rather yellow, but I'm testing stains and comparing them to pix and a small plug from the actual deck that I have to come up with a suitable color. I will then stain and finish (Wipe On Poly) prior to removing any of the decking from the sheet.

I've posted a couple photos on my build in the Picture Post/Works in Progress Forum under my NEW JERSEY log.

Kudos to Kim @ Pontos for his assistance and technical support!

Hank

Hello Mr. Kim,
I wondered that did not answer the questions concerning the date of delivery of the Advanced Set for USS Missouri.
As I have heared, that a representative of PONTOS said at the 2015 Toy Show of Nürnberg, that PONTOS will not release the Advanced Set for the 1:200 Missouri, because this year there is priority for the Detail Set of HMS Nelson, later this year for the Detail Set of HMS Hood and after this will be delivered the Detail Set of USS Hornet.
Tue Sep 23, 2014 you stated:
"Veteran 20sets of Borfos will be included. Now we are digging Searchlights newly. All other parts are ready. Hope to get this Advanced Add on set very soon. Thank you
Keumho Kim"
So Mr.Kim, would you please be so kind to inform me and many modellers by telling us the trueth. When will the Advanced Set for the Missouri really be released `- or is it even just cancelled?
Thank you
Chris2
