Great stuff!!!

Looks like this could build into a wonderful model indeed.

Thanks for being one of the few catering for sailing ship modellers.

Cheers,

Marijn

.

Have you tried producing sails complete with "relief" detail of furling sheets, etc... or does the "billowing" of the sails not lead itself to flat photo-etch ?

Hi
we are experimenting with this process to see if it will work, at present we are drawing up some to try, I think we will have to anneal them to take the springiness of the brass, this will help with billowing the sail also.

Any chances to see some aftermarket for Revell's "Batavia" 1/150?
At least ratlines, please....

Hi
I am not positive but I think the Batavia is a copy of the Wasa in which case our Wasa ratlines may fit, anyone out there who can confirm this? if not I will see if I can get hold of one and check.

Hi, Robin

Thanks for the reply, but definitely not a copy...

Different type of ships - Batavia was an armed Dutch merchantmen, part of the East Indian Company.

I build a lot of ships of the line in metal , saw this and decided to treat myself as the Mary Rose is a ship that interests me greatly. This photo etch set will add greatly to this kit, am going to scratch build my own masts and rig the model as well ... Thank you for a great looking set, looking forward to the build... :wave_1:  :thumbs_up_1:

That looks really very excellent- allowing the otherwise very basic kit to become a little gem

Much Kudos!
