Hi All,
We are finalizing 1/350 IJN Musashi Detail Set.
The first version is 1944 October version (Leyte).
Thanks to Paul G Allen's Musashi Expedition Project, we can release with new researching.

This set is conversion set from Tamiya 1/350 Yamato (New tool, 78025).
Anyway this set will have contents as

1. Wooden deck.
Coal black stained version and normal Hinoki natural tone version will be selective.

2. Turned brass parts:
All possible turned brass parts will be included...

3. Photo Etching parts
7-8 Full size frets.

4. Resin.
6 Search lights and Rocket launchers are from Veteran Model.
HIgh angle and normal angle Water blast bags , protect bags for AA shields and many parts will be included.

5. Dry Transfer decal
Water draft marks

6. Etc.

Releasing date:
Last night of 2015

In future, we will release some sets for 1/350 Old Yamato and Musashi but I can't promise when.

Do you have any pictures of the veteran rocket launchers?
Haven't heard of it before so I guess it's new

It is an optional part as some researchers insist there were Launchers on the first Searchlight base.

Very interesting for the Rocket launchers.
Do you know if V.M. will sell individual sets for those? I am interested in getting a bunch of those for my 1946/7 Yamato build !

Did Musashi have the same crane boom tower as per Yamato?

Seem to recall rainbow did 2 different types. musashi's shape being rectangular on lower part then pyramid on the top portion rather than a pyramid all the way through like yamato's.

The 1943 photo of the class at Truk seems to show this shape somewhat vaguely.
