Hopefully we can see a release date soon. No hurry really because this is too exciting. I am sure just based on preliminary pictures this set should do well. You say that depending on the success of the Kitty Hawk set you would consider a Nimitz set. Seems you've missed the boat on that one. I mean, that ship has been out for a long time and the need for a more modern update set has been there. Most of us have already built one or two Nimitz class using our own mechanisms for updated ships. I'd rather you pass on Nimitz and concentrate on CV-67 USS John F. Kennedy. My .02.

Still see lots of new build CVN (65 and 68) coming all the time. I've specifically held off on building my CVN's till a good set like this comes out.

We are also thinking of the CV-67 JFK first, nimitz class has no concrete plans yet.

Sorry. CV-63 is used in the 60-70's, it does not have a plan.

1/350 USS Supercarrier CV-63 Kittyhawk for Trumpeter.
Carne, fork lift and support vehicles.
It includes various accessories for a variety of conditions.
Vehicle side, front, rear, etc. This detail was added because at all.
Finally, island that the highlight of detail-up set will be released tomorrow.
I'm sure the good quality as put a lot of time and effort in the design.

Wow! :woo_hoo:

I love the spotlights on top of the island. I've never liked the plastic ones, but nobody else has come up with better solution... until now! The containers for extra Sea Sparrow rounds are pretty nifty too. I guess I'll have to pick this one up!

You have to picture in your head that PE "63" over top of the decals as the PE "63" is not mean to replace the decals. Neat idea who ever came up with that.

Thanks you.
I think the island is convenient and good value etching and cnc parts because there is a lot of detail.

1/350 USS Supercarrier CV-63 Kittyhawk for Trumpeter.
We have reproduced the DCS and weapon elevator.
And we have reproduced the barrel CIWS with the resin.
The motorboat was the wrong shape to reproduce in white metal.
Cable Reel and rudder are also reproduced in resin.

The set looks great!! Would like to see you all do a set for the Tamiya USS Enterprise CVN-65... But I do have a question. Are the various "domes" a part of the detail set? or are they just the original parts from the kit?... And if they are from you all, are those available to purchase separately? I'm going to make my 1/350 CVN-65 kit in the 2006-2012 time frame, and need the domes to do the update...

Thanks,

Thomas

January 15 is the info I saw on their Facebook page. Maybe Freetime can shed some light on this.
