Hi All,

We are summing the PE design parts and the references for Missouri 1945 version for Tamiya kit.
As already released 1/200 and 1/350 Iowa class, the researching time may not take long.
But if there additional references we would consider to add.
This set will have contents as

1. Wooden deck.
Both 20B Deck Blue tone and Teak tone will be released.

2. Turned brass parts:
All possible turned brass parts will be included...
Precise 16in/5in/40mm/20mm will be included.
50 Pedestals of Oerlikon, 32 Bitts, some Capstans, Mast/Yard sets Flag staff and so on as Pontos standards.

3. Photo Etching parts
Pontos standards
We don't mind the area.

4. Resin.
Some parts as Water Protector will be added
Veteran model parts may also be added

5. Dry Transfer
Water draft marks and Hull number and name

6. Etc.
With this set, we try to do you need not buy other material as few as possible.
So some more materials may be added.

Keep your eyes on this Thread.

If you have any suggestion or advice, please post and leave message on this thread.

Thank you
Keumho Kim

I look forward to it! I will wait to start my build of USS Missouri until I have your Set. Any idea of the timing for its release?

I'm not an expert on the subject, but I bought the Floating Drydock's planbook of USS Missouri and it contains much (If you do not have the planbook already).

I also have the Kagero monograph on this BB: it seems quite well done but I cannot guarantee about the total correctness of this reference. I have quite a few books from this printing company: they are normally quite good with the exception of the ROMA maybe. The issue on the Regia Marina battleship has several important mistakes which I notified to them. They accepted my corrections but I don't know if they are going to print an errata corrige or a brand new issue.

this is based on the tamiya 1991 set? Cos the old tamiya missouri set that is based on 1945 configuration has already stop production.

Woo...Such a good news, can’t wait to see it. I guess it is based on Tamiya 78028 or 78029? Is there any possible for you to develop the whole WWII Iowa class detail up sets?

Seems your resin fore tower just copy from Tamiya's old kit.
The fore tower you have already done is actually USS Missouri in 1944 not 1945, if Pontos wants to develop 1945 detail up set, at least you should modify the windbreak on forward air defence station. BTW, some pipes on the fore tower are also wrong, Tamiya's old kit made mistakes here.

I don't think that a resin replacement tower - that's the original kit part.

So Tamiya will re-release 1/350 WWII Missouri soon? That sounds really good.

Well this set is for 1945 and almost parts can be realized to 1944 too.
Some kit details can't be fixed pefectly as we just have realized 1945 version with limitation of 40years old kit.

If you show the wishing details or comparision based on any reference or photo, we try to add or modify even though almost case can't be done because this set for old kit will be released within a few week.

Thank you

I doubt that. I think Pontos cooperates with Tamiya now, because Pontos has already developed 1/350 Bismarck

Sorry pal but this is not correct ,the Pontos Bismarck is for the Revell kit not Tamiya

Looks amazing. I have had the 1/350 for years and have been waiting for something like this to enhance it. Fantastic work as usual Mr. Kim.
