Here are some pictures of our latest effort, the Curtiss Class AV USS Albemarle modeled after her Boston refit of 1944, done in Dazzle Pattern MS 32 5 AX.
I chose this time frame in order to be able to include the Dazzle pattern, it was an interesting effort to get it painted. I used ColourCoats Enamals for all the painting except for the Dull Black, that is Vallejo Black Grey.
All in all, I'm pleased with the way it turned out, even if I did break off the forward topmast putting on the protective cover.
Albemarle served with the Atlantic Fleet through out WWII. Prior to the 1944 refit she wore the basic 2 color Atlantic scheme.
The included pictures are an out of the box assembly of Albemarle to show what's in the kit.
A late war USS Curtiss kit is also available. Curtiss Served with the Pacific Fleet, and seems to always wore a single color scheme, possibly 5-O or 5-N
2 Mariner Seaplanes are included with the kit. These models are all new tooling, and come with 2 photoetch sheets and 12 pages of clear instructions plus a full size color sheet.
