A kit for a Caquot Type R as used on some capital ships (U.S.Navy at least) during WW1, is now available HERE in my CLASSIC AIRSHIPS shapeways shop. I plan to produce the slightly smaller Type M in the near future. I will also be making both types available for 1:1250 scale.

Happy modelling

Derek

Interesting! I guess I can equip some British cruisers with them! They will be ordered with the next batch from Shapeways.

The Type M that I am working on now is more appropriate for Royal Navy ships. I will post details of it as soon as it is finished.
Thanks for your interest, I appreciate it.

Nice! Very realistic. As for which ship, it looks like New York or Texas. But I will defer to the experts.

I see that there is now also a Type M:

Is that the one for RN ships? You added a photo with HMS Erin.

Yes this is the type most used by the RN. The Type M had a more oval and less tear-drop body than the Type R.

Any chance these will be available in 1/350 scale?

The Caquot Type R in 1:350 scale is now available HERE

The model is designed in MULTIJET FUSION PA12 plastic (MJF) which has a smoother finish and shows finer detail than Selective Laser Sintering (SLS.) For the best price and service in this material they are printed by Sculpteo who have plants in San Francisco in the U.S. and Paris, France. I will be adding more models specifically designed for MJF to my range AND I will be migrating many of my existing models over from SLS to MJF.

For the time being the Type R in 1:350 does not include observation baskets but I will most probably be adding these as an option later on.
