Issue 7 of Ship Modeller is now on sale at http://www.insidethearmour.com

Sadly sales of the magazine have been low. perhaps because ship modellers don't want a magazine, perhaps because they didn't want this one, perhaps because people were sharing it without buying it, but whatever it was I could no longer sustain the magazine once sales dropped below 100 copies per issue

So I made issue 7 the best I possibly could, 104 pages of builds, reviews and walkarounds plus show reports from Mosonshow and Shizuoka Modellers Show

Including:
1/350 full build of Seydlitz limping home from Jutland
1/700 build of Inazuma (Yamashita hobby and Tetra)
1/500 build of Chitose (Seals Models)
full build of 1/350 Combrig Huascar,
show report on Mosonshow,
Show report on Shizuoka
and extensive walkarounds of USS Jason Dunham (Arleigh Burke Class) and the Littoral Combat Ship USS Milwaukee both taken at this months NYC Fleet Day

To those that bought and supported the magazine, and all those involved in producing it; Thank you!

I ordered my copy of issue #7 as soon as I received notification on FB and look forward to a great read.

It is very disappointing that you have not received enough support to continue publishing. I would have thought you would have found no problems getting sufficient subscribers from website like this to stay in operation. It is very disappointing that you have not.

I have enjoyed every issue of your magazine that you released.

Thank you for all the time and effort you have put into producing a magazine exclusive to ship modelling.

This was a semi commercial enterprise (in that I was doing it for theblove if it and wasn't looking to get rich, only have it pay for itself) but I was a for sale product. Commercial products are either wanted or they are not. If people didn’t want to buy it that’s not something I can complain about. It’s just how it is. I tried. I enjoyed trying, but sadly it’s not viable

I did get a chuckle once though when I first started and a gentleman in the US complained when I emailed him the mag because he thought it was in print. A printed 90 page mag, posted to the US. All For £3.... lol

Sorry to hear about ending the magazine.
Personally I did buy every single issue, but it seems there weren't enough of us, supporters.
IMHO, 4GBP is really not such a money - it's around 2-3 paint jars for models, but unlike paints, this magazine is here to stay, reusable for future.
I really struggle to see where was the problem for such low sales.

Anyway, I am waiting for future one-off publishes you will make in the future (near, I hope). :wave_1:

To be brutally honest issue 6 sold something like 55 copies. I lost money even with low contributor fees compared to print

Here is my latest experience.

When I ordered and payed for the issue (PayPal), on the web page I got a "Download" button to take the issue.
I didn't get any link or attachment in the e-mail form.

Maybe you have overseen the "Download" button?

Hi Len, sorry I’ve only just seen this. Normally the best way to reach me is by email or via my website . I just post here occasionally, so this is not the best place to bring up a concern . I will look into your order and contact you by email

I've just resent the Links Len.

You should have got them when you first ordered. Possibly they were rejected or sent to spam by your system. you will get them now by email but you can always go back to the site log in and download again

Chris,
Please email me at Len.Fricke@gmail.com
Still do not have. Not in SPAM and to register for your site requires a password and I can't remember due to a stroke. And I really do not want to because you are not offering anymore.

Thank you

I loved the magazine, always received it flawlessly and will miss that read every now and then. By chance was it because it was within the Inside the Armour umbrella it was missed by some? Good luck with any other projects you may have and I will gladly support them - 99 other people to go!!
