Looks great!

But to be pedantic, because someone's gotta be:

...only applies to 1/200. There have been a few options in 1/350 and 1/700.

Well done and bravo for such an undertaking;
I have received from a long time studier Seydlitz an e-mail with furthe suggestions;

copies below;

"The 5.9" guns don't look quite right - both barrels (in shape and length) and barbettes.
The latter appear to be too shallow within the casemate surround
and appear to have no sighting recesses.
(The Combrig kit versions are correct. The same also applies to the smaller guns.)

And all the louvred vents throughout the model appear to lack the vertical inlaid bars/uprights on which they turned. These were a key feature.

I notice from other postings on MW that 3-D wild seem to be receptive to making corrections before the kit goes into production and distribution!,

It would be such a pity for such an otherwise excellent (and expensive) kit to be spoiled by such omissions "

I had a look around the internet quickly;

to illustrate the comment above ref the vents--these appear to have actuating vertical bars that allow them to opened or partially closed ( it seems to me !)

certainly their presence would enhance the look of the louvred vents

I'd like to point out that this is a ChuanYu Seydlitz that has been available for some time and is not a 3D-WILD production.

3D-WILD may not be able to modify the design for a variety of reasons. (Please correct me if I am wrong, 3D-WILD.)

Hi Jim,

Thanks a lot for the detailed information and time+effort!!

We will pass your suggestion to Chuanyu Models, but are not sure if they will modify the kit soon. The have a different and independent product development philosophy from 3D-WILD--apparently, they aim to target a group of customers who are younger, more "playful", fond of enjoying the pure pleasure of building warship models consisting of hundreds of fine details and never existing on the market.

That's a key reason why we decide to be partners instead of competitors--What 3D-WILD can do is offering their products to fellow warship fans with advantageous prices and nice-and-easy aftersales services.

Hope you understand.

You are pretty much right Strategos, but we pass all information/suggestion from warship fans here to them as their partner.
