COMING SOON!! 3D-WILD will soon release the 1/350 scale IJN Light Aircraft Zuiho (瑞鳳, meaning "fortunate Phoenix")!! With its 1/700 scale kits developed by both Hasegawa and Fujimi, there has been no 1/350 Zuiho kit on the market! If you have built the 1944 1/350 scale IJN Zuikaku (by Fujimi), and hope to enjoy (or torture) yourself once again by painting a new carrier with the unique late-war stage IJN carrier camouflage, our Zuiho will definitely be your choice!!
Take-home message about IJN Zuiho for fellow modelers who are not familiar with her: Zuiho was originally laid down as a submarine tender and was converted to a light aircraft carrier. Being a small-size carrier with only 30 aircraft carried, Zuiho participated most major naval battles in the Pacific War which involved aircraft carrier striking forces from both sides, and actively served as an aircraft ferry and a training ship in between battles. Sunk in the Battle off Cape Engaño in October 1944, Zuiho was the IJN light aircraft carrier with the most combat experience.
