Hi our friends,
Finally we’ve released the first Essex class set, 1/350 CV-10 Yorktown Detail Up Set.
I am sorry that two months have been delayed for this releasing.
At mid February just after releasing Yamato detail up set, We had thought two months might be enough. But at the early April we found it might need one month or more at least. And at the end of May we left the instruction manual work.

When I got and watched the Bu series of the Essex Class and other master plans from Tom of the Floating Dry dock at last July, I could not help from starting these projects. But Academy’s new Warspite cut in and next Dreadnought and New Yamato. Fortunately these 3 projects gave us how to make and realize naval ship detail up sets much better than our abilities and capabilities.

Anyway 4months project comes to end with this first set. Next 10days for 35005F1 CV-14 Ticonderoga and some days more for 35006F1 CV-9 Essex detail up set.

You can see this set in more detail at http://pontosmodel.com/html/35004f1.html

Thank you
Keumho Kim

Any idea when the shops will start receiving these? I've been looking since I saw the announcement on Facebook and haven't seen it on any of the regular shops web sites.

As far as I know, I heard everything has been ready except veteran resin part. They barely make the volume for domestic preorder request so far.

Also Heard first shipment for export will be ship this weekend or early next week.
So I suggest if you found one in your local or on-line shop, grap it quickly. Cause You may wait quite some time depending on Veteran schedule for resin part.

First innitial lot has been shipped to some reviewers as sample.

We have some Bad news.
Now Taiwan is under Typoon effect...
So all air cargos including Express service to Korea have been delayed or cancelled.
This means Veteran in Taiwan could not ship Main Essex class resin part sets to us within some days.
So we may delay in shipping to our dealers or customers some more days.

Sorry but thank you for your patience.

Kim

Hi Kim,
I am looking forward to the King George V sets.
Can you say roughly when these will be made?

Thanks.

Absolutely gorgeous. One question - I'm interested in building either Lexington, Essex, or perhaps Bunker Hill. Would the Yorktown set be best for them, or should I wait for the forthcoming Hornet set?

Many thanks,

Robert

Now we would finish 4 Iowa Class ships (based kit: 1/350 Tamiya NJ) by July.
And then we would finish Bis/Tir for Revell by September.
And next we should finalize KGV/PoW/DoY before SMW 2012.

Thank you
Kim

Our Essex class line up:

35004F1 CV-10 Yorktown 1944 Detail Up Set:
- Base kit: CV-10 Yorktown or CV-13 Franklin
- Applying AC: 1944 of CV-10,CV-11,CV-13,CV-16,CV-17 or CV-18

35005F1 CV-14 Ticonderoga 1944 Detail Up Set:
- Base kit: CV-14 Yorktown or CV-19 Hancock
- Applying AC: 1944 of CV-14,CV-15 or CV-19

35006F1 CV-9 Essex 1943 Detail Up Set:
- Base kit: CV-9 Essex
- Applying AC: CV-9 1943 or CV-12 1944

Though basically each set covers its title ship or variation, you should research with your references each Antenna or Radar and some other small differences.

Thank you
Kim

Thanks for the update, I appreciate it. I'm assuming the Hancock/Ticonderoga set would also likely work for other long hulls like the Randolph?

Yep we tried.
And this set includes 14,15 and 19 Masking sheet for big ship number.
So you can apply one of three ships with your CV-14 kit or CV-19 kit
Thank you
Kim

We have not yet started to research this class.
When we are planning we would determine what ships can be possible for this project.
Basically we would draw to realize as many ships as possible.
So please give us any suggestion for better variation and better project.

Also we are getting good references or master plans of this class now.

Thank you
Kim

Sure just after KGV Class.

If you see our 1/350 Bis/Tir detail up set at September, you cannot wait even a day for 1/200 detail up set.

Thank you
Kim
