I am attempting to build a model of the AKS-4 Pollux, a General Stores Auxiliary ship. My dad was on the Pollux right after WW2, and I would like to build a model for that reason more than anything. I realize supply ships are not that popular and I can find no manufactured model kits of even anything in it's class. I would really like to build it in 1/144 scale as I can get an LSM (the other ship he was on) model in that scale, then they would be scaled correctly.

All of this being said, I'm not a real avid modeler, I have built kits over the years, but this is more about this one particular ship. My thoughts are try to find a hull with a similar profile, and build off of that.

Thoughts?
