Just a few picture of this very well attended show. The venue at Haydock Park race course in the North West of the UK . This is a brand new location for the Convention which in 2 years time will be celebrating its quarter century on the UK model boating scene. The Convention attracted around 700 models, many working and to larger scales.
The largest contingent of warships came from Scottish Warship Association, like TF72 in Australia concentrate their builds to 1:72nd.

The new venue provides much more space over two floors and about 16 large halls, all of course where in use but more than enough space with potential for the show the expand if the need arises .

This year the lake was small but there are plans in hand to remedy this situation
None the less HMS Norfolk a Type 23 of the Scottish Model Warship Association was honing up their ASW skills with a little help from the Association of Model Submariners.

Hovercraft and ground effect machines are also well represented, this working LCAC, ALL Scratch built is just one example.

Warships and Military craft are only part of this huge show. Here is but one of the 30 or so club stands.
