I International Model Ship Building Exhibition SHIPREPLICA 2010 - July 2-4, Gdynia, Poland.

The event will take place in Polish Navy's Club "Riviera" (http://www.klubriwiera.mw.mil.pl/) on the opposite side of Kosciuszko square, where Polish WWII destroyer ORP Blyskawica is located. The organizer is bi-monthly Modelarstwo Okretowe with huge cooperation of Polish Navy.

In principle this exhibition should become an annual event of all model ship builders willing to share their work with others. Having the momentum and with great attractions we would like to create the show all will be talking about.

We invite all readers of Modelarstwo Okretowe and all model ship builders. All breads are invited - plastic, card, resin, wood, RC, modern, and old. It does not matter if you build better or worse models, it is not a competition but massive get together of ship modelling species.

You will be able to meet and speak and ask questions and learn or teach others. We are talking to modellers across the borders hoping that we can convince as many as possible. Opening ceremony will actually take place on board of ORP Blyskawica! Could you dream of better location?! What more - on Friday July 2nd all modellers that come with their models for the exhibition will be able to participate in guided tour on board of Polish active duty submarine ORP Orzel!

Exact list of associated attractions and shows will follow soon.

We are preparing huge event and we count on your participation.

Cheers
Jerzy

Sounds like a great idea. I have been looking for an excuse to visit Gdynia to see Blyskawica for some time and this might just be the opportunity. I will be watching for further details. Anone else from the UK interested in making the trip?
