Besides being nicely done overall, wonder what was used for the rolled torpedo netting? Appears distinctly more convincing than a pair of my old shoe laces.

It sure does. That was the first thing I noticed. And it's a great build!

Yeah they really look great. As does the entire model. Would be very interested to hear how he did them.

Hello everybody. It was I who made that Konig, and I was asked to tell how I made the torpedo net.
I warn you in advance that I am writing through a translator.

When I came across in the process of working with the implementation of the torpedo net, I was surprised that ordinary lace was used in excellent works. Without thinking for a long time, I started trying to roll different materials into a tube and it turned out that brass mesh is ideal for this. It's good that I bought some grid sizes in advance in our local store "korabelhobby.com.ua".
I bought the nets in the size of the сell size 0.16 and 0.5. Now I want to reorder all the other sizes just in case.
I twisted 0.5 and I didn't like the result, and 0.16 turned out to be perfect, if I had 0.1 on hand, maybe that would be good too. And maybe not.
The mesh material is brass.
I will add a photo of the grids as they look in reality.
