Back in August of 2023, Miroslav Vojtek posted a request on the Steel Navy message board to possibly borrow a copy of Warship Pictorial #22 on the USS Ticonderoga aircraft carrier. He was starting a build of the Trumpeter kit. Since I had met Miroslav on a couple of occasions, exchanged emails and he even purchased a kit from me, I offered to lend him my copy of WP #22. I mailed it to him on August 17, 2023 and he confirmed receipt on August 22, 2023. He offered to give me some Testors Model Master paints or some other accessories, but since he didn’t have the color I needed I said no problem, just take of the book.

Fast forward to December 11, 2024, I emailed Miroslav to check in on his progress and requesting that he return my book as it had been over a year. No response. I sent another email on February 6, 2025, again requesting that he return my book and again no response. I have used the same email address he provided and it must be still active as my emails did not bounce back. He last posted on the Steel Navy message board on November 27, 2024, so it appears that he was still somewhat active in the hobby. I posted a plea to him on the Steel Navy message board on December 24, 2024 asking him to contact me.

I really didn’t wish to have to resort to a public forum to try to find a resolution to this issue, but I believe I have given Miroslav enough opportunities to return my book which I lent him in good faith. I sincerely hope that he is ok and has not had something terrible happen to him. If anyone knows Miroslav and can contact him on my behalf, please let him know that I would like my book back.
