 Post subject: Pearl harbor

I have to built in 1/700 the uss oklahoma which i have and also the USS Nevada which i dont have as in 1941 when the attack at P.H occur.I have however a second kit of USS Oklahoma and so i wanted to ask if and what were any structural differences on the 2 ships and if i need to modify the second Oklahoma kit to make the Nevada.

There were several structural differences between the two ships at the time of the Pearl Harbor attack. The most obvious is the location and shapes of the searchlight and 50 caliber machine gun platforms on both masts. The forward superstructures were different in large and small ways. The boat cranes were different. The shape as well as the orientation of the mainmast "bird bath" platform was different. There are other, more subtle differences also. Oklahoma had 3" guns fitted before PH attack but Nevada did not. Nevada had painted decks. Oklahoma had natural teak.
