Dear friends, I’m building the Russian battleship Oriol by Zvezda whit WEM photoetch. I would add the torpedo net in one of the side. Have you some hints for the material I can use for this (1/350 scale)
Thanks
Carlo

Shoelace is one option, as shown here:

And here: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=76761
(there are also more links there, and David Griffith also suggested using lady's nylon tights)

Thanks Timmy for the hint, but I would like to apply a deployed torpedo net in one side. I was thinking of a 1 mm metal mesh, but I don’t know were I can find a mesh 30x10 cm.... What do you think?

This set by WEM for the Konig class might fit, though it's waterline only and I don't know if you're building yours that way or full hull: https://www.whiteensignmodels.com/p/WEM ... G8c3s-SnD4

Is window screen material fine enough? Maybe tulle (wedding dress material) can be found fine enough - usually sold by the yard/meter at DIY material stores.

I just ordered a metal mesh from Amazon. Hole 0,6 mm and wire 250 micron. It will arrive tomorrow. I’ll let you know

This is the metal mesh. It appears like the material used by Pontos. Do you agree?
