A $44, you're really paying for the 1/72 turret and getting a 1/700 destroyer with it: https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10822313

Is that $44 CAD, or USD? Depending on whether or not there's PE with the Gearing (I believe there was PE with the original Snowman release) it could still be a reasonable price at $44 USD (around $60 CAD).

HMS Venerable in 1945 is the next release in IHP's 1/700 Colossus series, following the Vengeance.

Unsure if this is known or posted here threads ago, but Kajika makes a FULL HULL 1915 Kongo version as special edition (my love goes out to them). I just bought the kit, naturally because a WW1 battlecruiser full hull is special rare in plastic in 1/700.

Shared over at Steelnavy, Trumpeter 2022 lineup. 350 Baltimore’s still there but 1/350 Dido’s, never were German battle cruiser are new to my knowledge. 1/700 folks look like you are getting most of their most recent 350 releases scaled down, but what should make a lot of folks happy is the USS Intrepid CVS-11 is being scaled down.

Do read the one that is second from top right as "Belfast 1942" in 1/200th correctly?

The picture isn't right if it is!

re the picture of what looks to be "Belfast 1942" in 1/200th at second down from top right, it has several modern PRC warships next to it - could this be the modern Type 26 frigate which is still under construction instead? At least the picture would be in the right bracket even if the date is somewhat wrong!!

The new trumpeter 1/700 seems to be not a full hull version....to bad.

Hopefully some of the new ones mentioned in the catalogus 2021-2022 will be.

Time will tell.

Henk

They stopped doing lower hulls on new 1/700 releases, saving money.

It’s a shame, because 1/700 angle deck Intrepid with a lower hull option would be awesome. I have a couple newer 1/700 trumpeter kits that do have a lower hull (HMS Montrose and Type 055 destroyer), but the hull is all one piece. So waterline would need cutting vs. having the lower hull a separate piece.

I see there is still 1/700 Belfast.
It is being announced for ages, maybe for some 5-6 years now.

Nearly 7 years. It was first announced in December 2014:

And after 7 years it still has no box art (other than an inappropriate background appearance in 1943 camo on the box art for their 1939 Ark Royal!), same recurring photos. :deadhorse:

Guam should be out very soon :nod_1: , but no sign of scale-downs of Hobby Boss' Dunkerque or Strasbourg. :frown_2:

The 1/700 York would be nice....if it shows up in '22.

I am not interested in 1/700, but at 1/350, Rodney, Nelson, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, pffff .... How long are we going to wait for them. That's already 7 to 10 years that we heard about them. :please:
Barbarossa, why not ? Nor sure this was the name foreseen for this battlecruiser but .... :destroyer:

Does anybody now what we can expect from Very Fire at 1/350, after the Taiho of 2021 ? Vanguard ? Renown ? :yeah: :nod_2:
