'Globaltoy' is selling a 1/700 3D printed Nieuw Amsterdam. I could not find a manufacturer but I have good experiences with the shop so ordered one about 2 months ago. The 'kit' is in my hands now and it looks very nice after cleanup except that the planking is rendered by raised thansverse lines (30cm high ridges in real life). This will mean lots of sanding/painting and replacing of cast in deck detail (or generic wooden decks? I still have to decide). There are also some masts and booms in printed plastic which are not straight but I always replace them anyway. I wonder if this is the same printer/designer who makes the multi-part Forrestal which has been discussed here before.

Colbert ooks like the same printer as my Nieuw Amsterdam, especially the way the waterline seperates with tiny plastic 'sprues' . I will call my Nieuw Amsterdam Gaga then if I paint her and put her on a base.
