DX kits include all the photo etch bits but no wood deck. Then again the DX kits are much cheaper than buying all the bits separate so it makes sense to buy the DX and get the wood deck as an extra.

Look forward to this new Kaga

Mamiya (1944) is already out in Japan. For some reason I think I remember it to be Pitroad, but will check again Sunday (brain fart). Is the Aoshima one a different release I wonder... (will check).

The Fujimi Kitakami will indeed be the Kaiten carrier version.

I bought the Tamiya Saratoga this evening, could not resist....

Saw the first two on US eBay today (Japanese sellers). One was for the expected MSRP plus shipping; not bad. The other for about double MSRP but free shipping; think again, fella, and good luck.

Not sure how I managed to miss it but apparently I missed the whole second half of the previous page. Usually I go to the end page and read 2-3 pages back. I blame it on lack of caffeine. But none the less. Good news.

You mean Randall Wilson ... this painter of box arts of Trumpeter kit boxes? Interesting ... very interesting!
But looking on all the vessels he still painted and which are NOT available as kit, I stay sceptic for the first until further information are available... but it is a sign of "could it be that ..." ;-)

If it were 1/350 Rodney, my highest wish in the modelling world would come true.
Such a unique ship, a wonder why it has not been done (properly?) yet.
Beautiful in its own ''ugly'' way.....

Agreed. At first I hated the crap out of them but then all of a sudden they really grew on me.

Even the Airfix 1/600 offering was good in its time! Time for some more RN stuff......in 1/350, of course!

:woo_hoo: YES!! Was figuring that was coming since there were 6 twin 4-inch mounts in the Barham kit which only needed 4. Box art looks great!

You know that Facebook post was referring specifically to it being added in this thread, right? ;)
