Maybe I'm a bit paranoid, but what is happening with the Fujimi 1/350 Kaga? Since the summer not a word, and complete silence from all sources, reliable and not. Is it cancelled?

Maybe they are thinking about 1/200 version instead!

I just got a payment request from HLJ for this one, and they don't do that until it's arrived. So this one, at least, is for real.

It's now available on Hobby Search. I've updated the list reflecting this.

Just saw this on Twitter:

http://mokehana.blog34.fc2.com/blog-entry-654.html

From Fujimi, an all-new-tool 1:700 Battleship YAMATO. Not just a new tool kit, but a SNAP-FIT, multi-color plastic kit. Apparently meant to appeal to the current trend of such kits in Japan (Gundam, Space Yamato, etc.)

Seems they are still deciding whether or not to put it into production, but I would buy one or two.

The multi-colour (and snap-fit? Didn't know about that) "EASY series" kits were recently released as Nagato and a pair of destroyers:

Yeah, I saw those. They are reissues of their standard existing kits with some more parts in color and some deck overlays (not wood, but colored adhesive material out of which details are carefully cut). The Yamato is an all-new kit, designed for snap-fit assembly, according to the accompanying text.

The "Snap-Fit" IJN Yamato will go into production, cant say when, but it will be on a limited run.

I may have missed the news but is the Gallery USS Yorktown scheduled to be released before Christmas?

Sometime this month - the hope was before Christmas but I don't think they made a guarantee.

Question:

There was in the past an announcement from Revell for a 1/350 USS Intrepid kit, still with item number 05124 and image of the box art for it:

Image

Looking on Revell homepage, complete item number 05124 isn't listed anymore and everyone is only speaking about Gallery model of Intrepid (what is as far as i know the same content?).
I read now only by chance about rumors that negotiations between Gallery and Revell failed and Revell retreated from project. Is this correct?

Sorry if this is still told or discussed here, but I used Search function before and nothing found for this Revell issue as info...

1/200 HMS Nelson
1/700 USS West Virginia BB-48 1945

Some strange box art in this Trumpy update; that has to be the oddest looking Fw200 I've ever seen :doh_1:
