No, nothing. But I ordered re-prodution of some NNT Goeben/Moltke and HMAS Perth kits, more to follow.
There will be Haruna and Kirishima by Kajika this year and Markgraf by ICM.

Best regards, Ralf

New from Revell Germany is the PT-109 makeover. Some surprises with this one. Revell did their homework on this one. This appears to be their prototype and they have announced a February release date. I hope they have some figures as well! If any of you after market companies are looking for any ideas please send me a message.

.50 cals still suck badly, and the bow deck rail is still moulded solid to the deck. Lots of opportunity for AM manufacturers.

Values of Tamiya 78011 just tanked.

Wow that and the two new Missouri, that is just amazing...

For some reason I find this even more significant than the Missouri... Love it!

Revell Germany is working with Magic Scale Modeling to produce lighting and animation kits. First releases were the JU-88 and Volkswagen Beetle. They showed the box art of the 1/72 Flower Class Corvette at the show. You can see the owner discussing this on YouTube with Phil Flory at this link.

Here's the lighting and animation layout for the Corvette...

You can also buy kits directly from Magic Scale Modeling for other subjects. They do a special set for the Trumpeter 1/48 type VII U-Boat.

.

I like where the "bow light" is on the Buttercup!

I hope people like the kit, but the ship wouldn't be lit up at sea, or in the UK. In addition a lot of the scuttles would have been welded over.

Is the "Teknik" Ju-88 the ICM mould?

It's my understanding the Ju-88 is 1/32 and is based on the Revell 1/32 A4 which was released a couple of years ago, no longer readily available. New kit has lighting and moving props. The base Ju88 from Revell is an excellent kit and Revell's own moulds. Always had hoped that Revell would do a G6 nightfighter in that series.

Nothing against the ICM 1/48 series as they are also very good, not sure if those are new or based on the older Dragon kits from years ago.

ICMs 88s are all new, apparently very good. Really excited by the new ICM He-111H BTW, big step forward over the Monogram.

Can't wait! Exeter was a fine looking ship. I hope the Counties are not far behind.

Interesting that the Dragon 350 scale USS Atlanta is listed. Does anyone know if this is a "holdover" from older lists or is there some new news?

I just hit up Dragon’s website and looked at their catalog. Atlanta is showing there as a smart kit but still has a picture instead of box art.....

Let's hope the Atlanta goes through (and Pennsylvania, please)!

Lord knows how long we've waited for those subjects to be released in 1/350 plastic (...and that mythical 1/350 Cleveland class too!)

Interesting that it's a five-piece hull now.
