Those searchlights and weapons are absolutely exquisite! Right up there with Finemolds' stuff, I think.

The binoculars are just lovely as is the torpedo tubes and turrets. Just pre ordered mine.

I hope they do not pull the same nasty surprise as the did with the Lutzow/G37 Torpedo boat and later release a special edition with something every one wants so that you would have to buy a new Naiad to get that special item

At least with Naiad you can probably build it as one of the others in the class without too much effort.

thanks
Mike

Flyhawk said there won't be a limited version of Naiad. I have my sources! (doesn't mean there won't be a seperate detail set in the future however)

Did they say anything about a 4-turret version, or a 4.5-inch version, or Batch Two (vertical funnels) version ?

Lots of options available.

How about a 350th scale, they could even stretch it to an 'Arethusa' class?

Yeah, I'm aware of that, but I'm limited to 350th by dint of age, etc., and having had CC Lee's 300th scale Aurora, I kind of would like a modern 350th scale version, and so on.....

Regards,

Hugh Williams

Sigh... VERY disappointed that the new Revell 1/144 "early" Flower Class corvette appears to have the extended fo'csle. I had my hopes up for the short fo'csle version.

Just thanking you for that link, which reveals a Rodney from Trumpeter in 1/350th.

Cheers,

Hugh

Hugh, the 1/350 Rodney/Nelson was revealed at the end of last year ;) viewtopic.php?f=2&t=158458

But thank you Maxim for the Dokdo lead - good to see Academy still in the ship business.

Incidentally, the Dokdo kit will be a snap-tight kit molded in multi-colour plastic, according to Academy's 2015 catalogue (PDF).

Interesting that at 1:150 scale, Ming has cast some/most of the railings with the deck parts themselves.
